POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sales Rep will be driving new business from prospective/existing customer accounts and meeting or exceeding all sales quotas to achieve revenue goals. The candidate will organize, plan, direct and coordinate all sales activities, including some marketing, solution presentation, and proposal generation, follow up on sales leads, and deal closing. Sales of DAVID’s systems are focused at Risk Managers, Directors of City and County government agencies, Third Party Administrators, and Self-insured companies. Interaction with IT Management is required. The job represents a balanced customer relationship management effort involving sales/account management skills, product knowledge and problem-solving/solution skills, and direction of other specialized resources assigned to the account. Successful candidate will meet with key executives at potential customer organizations and sell proposals internally and externally, and drive deals to closure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for direct sales of the company's products and services.
- Providing leadership to the sales and account management process and growing DAVID’s revenues.
- Calls on prospective customers, provides technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices.
- Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, product line or channel.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in a Major Account Sales role.
- All candidates should have a track record of building highly effective interpersonal relationships in business partnering situations.
- Abilities to work as part of a team and communicate information effectively are essential.
- Must be comfortable discussing a wide array of products and technologies, and at ease interacting with highly trained technology professionals.
- Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; read and interpret complex information; talk with customers or clients; listen well.
- Ability to obtain agreement from multiple parties; earn trust while working out a deal; use good timing and carefully calculated strategies when bargaining; communicate high value of services; identify hidden agendas that might interfere with resolution of terms.
- Demonstrated ability to work with accounts' senior management and across functions within customer organizations to gain commitment, obtain resources and achieve desired results.
- Experience in claims management/risk management, insurance, and software sales a must.
- Developed problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Superior knowledge of the entire sales cycle including tracking/updating accounts, forecasting sales activity, and reporting weekly/monthly to management.
- Effectively and simultaneously manage multiple opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle. Ability to thrive in a fast paced, start-up environment and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Superior PC skills utilizing MS Office application and e-mail.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA degree or equivalent plus minimum of 5 years of direct outside sales experience with software sales experience highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, organization & customer-service skills.
- History of achievement of revenue objectives.
- Existing software industry relationships a plus .
- Prefer sales candidates with experience in selling to financial services and high tech professional services (e.g. consulting).
- Proven record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience in claims management/risk management, insurance, and software sales a must.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be a salary plus commission structure. DAVID Corporation offers a competitive compensation package including medical & dental benefits, 401(k), vacation and holiday pay, etc.
