POSITION OVERVIEW

Candidate will be responsible for developing, releasing and supporting web-applications written on the Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, and SQL Server. The candidate will be a key part of a dynamic team of software engineers.

Candidate will participate in projects to introduce new applications into our clients computing environment. Candidate will implement enterprise-scale web based applications using n-tiered architectures, distributed run-time environments, and commercial software. The work will span the complete software development life cycle, from identifying business requirements to deployment and long-term application support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop web-based software, components and services using the Windows .NET software development platform.
• Works with the Project Management, Architects and other Senior Application Developers on application design and development.
• Consult with the QA and development teams in the resolution of application-related problems.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Requires an understanding of the MS Windows platform and architecture including the .NET Framework.
• Experienced developing web-based applications using Visual Studio .NET.
• Proficient with the following languages/paradigms: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript and HTML.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for full software development life cycle.

ADDTIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with systems and business processes supporting Claims Management/Risk Management software
• Experience maintaining C++ applications.
• Experience with Business reporting systems such as Business Objects (Crystal) or SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Familiarity with network servers, PC clients, and telecommunications technologies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related degrees.  A MS degree is a plus.
• Requires at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with a combination of ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server.
• Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) is a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently within a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

This position is located in our San Francisco office and we are only looking for local candidates.
