POSITION OVERVIEW

We're looking for an entry level QA/Support Engineer with plenty of drive, motivation, and attention to detail to join our NavRisk product team. The successful candidate provides great interpersonal and communication skills coupled with knowledge of Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, and web-applications.  Prior testing and/or support experience is desirable.

As a QA/Support Engineer, you will be responsible for problem tracking, diagnosis, replication, troubleshooting, solution creation, and resolution of technical product issues.  You will also work as a member of the product team, providing primary product release testing.  A passion for customer success, a desire for continuous learning and greater responsibility, and the ability to work within a team are keys to success in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitor and answer Technical Support questions from customers via our online support system, email, and phone
  2. Ensure that customer interactions are professional and demonstrate the highest possible level of service.
  3. Escalate customer issues and request assistance as appropriate.
  4. Design, implement and execute test plans and test cases
  5. Analyze test results and identify problem areas in the application/module being tested.
  6. Submit product defects and verify fixes

REQUIRED SKILLS

  1. Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  2. Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  3. Time and tasks management skills, ability to meet deadlines
  4. Ability to work independently and as a part of team
  5. Ability to facilitate with developers and business analysts to address issues in a timely manner
  6. Proficient with Microsoft Windows and SQL Server

DESIRED SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  1. Experience with financial systems and business processes supporting systems such as Accounts Payable, Claims Management, Policy Management and General Ledger.
  2. Experience with business reporting systems such as Business Objects (Crystal), ActiveReports or SQL Server Reporting Services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. BS Degree or equivalent
  2. Entry level to 3 years of related experience
  3. Must be able to work independently and efficiently within a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

LOCATION

This position is available in our Sacramento area office.
