Sr. Software Developer
POSITION OVERVIEW
We're looking to fill multiple positions across our San Francisco and Roseville offices. Applicants must be proficient .NET and SQL database with plenty of drive, motivation, and attention to details to join our NavRisk solution team. The successful candidate provides great interpersonal and communication skills coupled with advanced knowledge of C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET, Silverlight, reporting and general enterprise-class business application development.
As an application developer, you will participate in projects to introduce NavRisk into our client's computing environment. Your work will span the entire software lifecycle and will include the analysis, development, configuration, and testing of our NavRisk Suite. A passion for customer success, a desire for continuous learning and greater responsibility, and the ability to work within a team are keys to success in this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop web-based software, components and services using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Work closely with Product Management, Architects and other Application Developers on application design and development.
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones in NavRisk Claims application based on business requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent programming skills in C# and T-SQL.
• Excellent grasp of database design principals, to include data normalization and query optimization techniques.
• Expert JavaScript/HTML/CSS/Ajax coding skills.
• Experience with business reporting systems such as Business Objects (Crystal) or SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Familiarity with XML, XSLT, and related technologies.
• Experience with full software lifecycle and relevant tools.
• Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Time and tasks management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of team.
DESIRED SKILLS
• Experience with systems and business processes supporting systems such as Accounts Payable, Claims Management and Policy Management.
• Experience with Windows Workflow, WCF, Silverlight, SAP Business Objects and Sharepoint a plus.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Requires at least 5 years of hands-on development experience.
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently within a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must display a desire to stay abreast of current technologies and be informed of changes in the development industry.
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) is a plus.
LOCATION
These positions are for locations in our San Francisco and Roseville offices and we are only looking for candidates local to those areas respectively. Please no contractors or recruiting agencies.
